Madonna and Beeple Launch a New, Exclusive NFT Collection

Madonna and Beeple Launch a New, Exclusive NFT Collection-featured

The NFT project “Mother of Creation,” on which Madonna and Beeple have been collaborating for a year, will go live in two days.

What has Beeple been up to since selling the priciest NFT ever? He’s been collaborating with Madonna on a series of digital renderings of her naked body with animations of different objects emerging from her genitalia. All as NFTs, naturally.

The pop singer/sex icon and the digital artist collaborated to create the unique collection “Mother of Creation,” which highlights three different aspects of life that are inspired by motherhood.

A NFT Collection Honoring Mothers

The “Mother of Creation” line is quite limited. There are just 3 single-edition NFTs in it, and they are all videos of Madonna giving birth to different crucial facets of humanity.

The first NFT, “Mother of Nature,” has a plant-life theme. In the video, Madonna can be seen giving birth to a tree that begins to bloom as soon as it leaves her body while lying on a lab bed.

“Mother of Evolution,” the second NFT, is about animal life. Once more, Madonna is portrayed as being naked while seated on a kind of customized car in the middle of a decaying metropolis, her legs spread wide and several butterflies emerging from her body.

In the third NFT, “Mother of Technology,” Madonna is seen resting in the middle of a forest while a succession of biomechanical centipedes emerge from her vagina and crawl up and down her arms. This NFT highlights technical advancements. Of course, Madonna is completely naked throughout.

You’ll have to wait until May 11 to participate in the Superrare auction if you’re interested in any of these pieces of art.

A Special Collection with a Good Cause

The concept and execution of Madonna’s NFTs are, to put it mildly, odd, yet they are very much in line with the style that has defined both artists. The drawings have the surreal quality that distinguishes Beeple’s art, and Madonna’s career as a musician and artist has spanned more than three decades. I never want to be provocative just for the sake of provocation, the pop singer told the New York Times, adding that the provocative tone of her NFTs is not merely a whim. They stand for technology and for optimism.

For his part, Beeple reaffirmed that he had no ambitions to work with anyone “for a very long time,” which lends this collection a more exclusive feel.

The Voices of Children Foundation (which aids Ukrainian children), the City of Joy Foundation (which assists victims of violence in the Congo), and Black Mama’s Bail Out will each receive a portion of the earnings from this collection (which helps incarcerated caregivers).
